Health Initiatives

Chembio is pleased and proud to partner with health organizations to help provide better lives for people and animals around the world.

The World Health Organization prequalifies and approves the use of rapid testing products in developing nations as part of their mission to provide equitable access to essential care. The W.H.O. provides funding for the purchase of tests, like those made by Chembio, to detect HIV and other diseases in developing nations.

The Global Fund

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria was created to dramatically increase resources to fight three of the world’s most devastating diseases and to direct those resources to areas of greatest need.

The United States Agency for International Development and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief implement and lead U.S. initiatives around the world to improve global health and many other initiatives. USAID and PEPFAR and their implementing partners have evaluated, qualified, procured, and distributed Chembio’s products.

UNICEF is the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized. They work to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS among young people, and help children and families affected by HIV/AIDS to live their lives with dignity.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is dedicated to bringing innovations in health, development, and learning to the global community. Directly or indirectly, it provides funds for large groups to purchase tests, including those made by Chembio, to detect HIV and other diseases in developing nations.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control collaborate to create the expertise, information, and tools that people and communities need to protect their health – through health promotion, prevention of disease, injury and disability, and preparedness for new health threats. The CDC has actively worked with Chembio, conducting studies with Chembio’s products. Chembio has entered Cooperative Research & Development Agreements (CRADAs) with the CDC including one that has resulted in the unique DPP® Syphilis Screen & Confirm Assay.
