POSITION
Research and Development Scientists- Chembio is currently seeking R&D Scientists at multiple levels to join our expanding team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

    • R&D design and execution of  experiments on new and existing diagnostic reagents and point of care products
    • Modifying existing diagnostic reagents and products to improve performance
    • Developing and formalizing validated  assay protocols that meet or exceed critical thresholds for sensitivity,      precision, reproducibility and robustness
    • Performing statistical data analysis and stability analysis
    • Maintaining detailed records of all R&D activities statistical data and stability analysis

Located minutes off the LIE in Medford, NY and employing approximately 170 people, Chembio operates a research and manufacturing facility that is registered with the US FDA

  • Providing technical support in solving unresolved technical difficulties in assay implementation and routine operation
  • Interacting with colleagues in multi-disciplinary teams, as well as Quality, Regulatory, and Operations staff

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field
  • BS will be considered with 5+ years related experience
  • Recent biotech experience and the ability to perform to deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be authorized for employment within the United States
